Here's a little tutorial on doing a scallops on a dress.
So the stitch I use is a zigzag stitch. It can be any size but you bring the stitch close together.
Each machine is different on how to set up the stitch, so just mess around with it till you get it to a stitch you like.
Making curves are pretty difficult, so practice a lot on scrap fabrics first.
